Well done for all the downs!Hello there!
I decided to make a copy of the WOTLK/Cataclysm list and start with a new one for MoP

A few details:
- this is my list. I understand some people disagree with how I make it, but I refuse to put in them any boss killed with half-resetting (Gluth 25, XT 25, naj'entus...) because it is my humble opinion that soloing a boss from 100 to 60%, than 60% to 30%, than 30% to 0% is just too much of an exploit. It can be an achievement, but not true soloing. There are sometimes ways to survive berserks without this. And yes, I consider despawning adds not too much of an exploit. This is where I draw my line; some find it too harsh, some find that even add despawning should be banned, I choose the middle road.

-I'll add leviathan and "impossible to solo" bosses because one can actually be solo'd without vehicles (theoretically) and a boss is impossible to solo only before someone has solo'd it (Lich king, Sindragosa, Thorim... all were thought impossible).

-I congratulate all hunters who have made it on that list - it is by rereading it I realized how many managed to go where no hunter went before. I also thank all hunters who continue to solo or followed soloing, they make all of this worthwhile. Great thanks also to all who post guides, they have the sense of community.

I sadly have little time to remake all hundred links, so just copy/paste or visit Pages 53 and 54 of the elitistjerks forum
Yes, you can actually solo cata 5-man Heroic instances. Gear + good strategy is enough for the major part.
Now, I checked internet and youtube, so if I made an error, please tell me :)

So, as far as worldfirst are concerned, I did:
Ulthok not very hard, just positioning and moving quickly.
Foe reaper 5000: Trivial
Springvale: Good thing I discovered the glitch on ashbury :)
Ammunae: also called the technical strategy boss, since timings are on a very narrow window, so you have to deal with adds, interuupts, loss of focus, and still dps the boss.
Setesh: complementary to ammunae, he's not technical, he's about reacting to chaos
Augh: lots of doubt for this one, I don't see why a dk hasn't solo'd him before, so maybe not a worldfirst.
Corborus: run, little dwarf, run!
Nalorakk: hah, that was a hell of a boss to solo! Pet health was limit, hunter health too, and dps too! Great boss to check the mist changes when they will be active.
Malacrass: free loot :)

Now, for Hunter worldfirsts:
Ashbury: first cata boss I tried, first challenge, learned a few things :) Also discovered the leaving combat glitch (that, I believe, doesn't work against raid bosses).
Helix : Fun boss, since you have 0.5 seconds to click on intervene when he yells.
Anraphet: the bug hits again... but he's got a water warden, so it's thanks to him that HoO isn't soloable :)
Rajh: easy easy easy
Throngus: now this is real soloing! Fun fun fun :)

Now, which bosses haven't been solo'd yet by a hunter? For those seeking an extra challenge, here is the list! Note that I haven't gone farther than zul'aman, so I can't give advice for ZG/4.3
In green, those who could be possible in heroic DS gear (my opinion)

Mindbender gur'sha: you need to tank him, and he hits hard (hunter survival)
Ascendant lord obsidius: nasty DoT (hunter survival)
Dragha shadowburner: shadow bolts (hunter survival)
Erudax: need lots of dps
Akil'zon: massive damage on hunter (hunter survival)
Halazzi: Massive damage on pet, self-healing... there could be a strategy to kill him.
Drakaara: Massive damage in lynx phase (bear is impossible) (hunter/pet survival)
Mandokir: Decapitate!
Edge of madness
Echo of Baine
Echo of Sylvanas
Murozond
As a 4 phase fight, he was the second 25-man boss whose berserk could be avoided entirely, except that it's harder to fight for 30 minutes than to fly in circles for 30 minutes :)

NOTE: Make sure you're completely repaired before trying this fight, or that you have 2 ranged weapons.

Phase 1 is surviving. So a stamina trinket is a good idea. The cannon on top of the leviathan will cast napalm shell on you. It's easy to see because he will turn towards you and spark red for 2-3 seconds. When he does:
-use intervene after the initial hit
-or use deterrence before it hits
-or, if you have mirror of broken images, use it before it hits
To bandage, wait for plasma blast. Make sure you always have a pet CD up for plasma blast.

Once the leviathan is dead, phase 2 is exactly the same than in 10 man, just use intervene to absorb damage (and mirror). Make sure you kill it at most about 30 seconds from berserk. 10 is safer.

Phase 3 is surviving 30 minutes. Now assault bots spawn from orange beams every 25-30 seconds, and you need to feign death to reset them. However, you will need to kill 1 or 2 of them so that your pet builds aggro on the head. Misdirect all junk bots on your pet, and you should be able to survive the bomb bots. Dps slowly the head.
After 30 minutes, it's time for phase 4: kill a last assault bot, and finish off the head. Then clear all bots.

Phase 4: put your pet on the leviathan, and misdirect the head to him. Don't worry about your survival, as long as you aren't in a cone between the boss and the pet, and that the boss isn't completely on the wall, you should be able to avoid his barrage and outheal his hand pulse. Once the head is low (120-150K), attack the middle. Put him low on health too. Finally, attack the leviathan and, when he's near 100K, pop rapid fire and finish him.Durendilhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08227356725962090483noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3596085325182861596.post-38547902936223932152012-03-17T13:40:00.001-07:002012-03-17T13:40:47.153-07:00ICC Heroic: Marrowgar and Lady deathwhisper!

Maybe my last worldfirst soloings before I start Heroic DS (if we manage to recruit a tank and a 2 healers - so maybe Morchok will be down in HM before mist).

Marrwogar Heroic isn't a worldfirst, but I don't know if it was already solo'd bugfree (without a worgen or goblin).

Deathwhisper is, but she was easy - only reason I solo'd her first is probably because nobody thought they could deal with her mind control. That she doesn't cast.

Durendilhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08227356725962090483noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3596085325182861596.post-62941806474592471292012-03-05T02:43:00.001-08:002012-03-05T02:43:37.387-08:00Twin Val'kyrs and Anub'arak Heroic solo'dSo, guess that after the lich king I went back to more normal soloings, who require a lot less tries, and less money.

First, Val'kyr Heroic:

The main difference with normal mode is that they hit really hard (I used a stamina trinket and a stamina flask). And that their heal shall not pass. Or the berserk timer will. I believe that the shield ignores light/dark essence, but either way putting up hunters mark + serpent sting + FD if your aggro is too high makes you lose time, so try to dps the val'kyr that will bubble next. Use rapid fire if you must switch to dps a shield. Oh, and a new dot, touch of light/darkness appears, but can be dispelled by switching essence.

Anub'arak Heroic:

This time, two burrowers spawn instead of 1, so despawning them is capital (wonder if anub'arak normal bugfree is possible now). And in phase 2, you will only have 6 ice patches.
Phase 2: run on the opposite side of the room, spawning patches but making sure Anub doesn't break them. At the last moment, FD. His spikes will go on your pet. Put your pet at about 30 yards then, once scarabs are too close to your pet, get up, hide behind an ice patch, and kill the scarabs on your pet. Anub should rush you, and you will need to start kiting him from one side to another. You can manage to break only 2 patches, 3 is the maximum (unless he bugs like in my video, but it happened twice in 40 phases 2).
Phase 3 is the most difficult. Leeching swarm will put you between 4K and 20K, and his dot hits hard.
Put up widow venom at the start, but it's useless afterwards.
To survive:
-use a prismatic elixir.
-rotate healing/absorbs. I used ignored intervene on the first (make sure you use it asap, because anub likes to freeze your pet when you're at 4K), double chimera + engineering shield on the second, intervene on the third and health potion + intervene on the fourth.Durendilhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08227356725962090483noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3596085325182861596.post-76035429310544185922012-02-28T13:44:00.000-08:002012-02-28T13:44:42.353-08:00Long live the King! Finally! Definitely my most technical soloing ever. Not to mention the 600+ tries, and about 250 scrolls/food/drum charge, dozens of potions... Cost me the price of 6 or 7 naxxramas farming runs. But it was definitely worth it, since it was the boss I absolutely wanted to solo before Pandaria.

Video: Durendil vs the lich king

Now for the guide:
I won't be going over the lich king's abilities, so check wowhead/wowpedia if you don't know him.

Phase 1:
The main thing is to deal with the adds, the plague and the infests.
Tank him on the edge: that way, shambling horror will spawn in multi-shot range from the lich king, although it may not be true for the ghouls. And make sure you have a passive button close at hand, to put your pet back in place.

For the adds: one out of two spawns of ghouls will be followed by a shambling horror. Wait until all three ghouls are up, then feign death misdirect and multi-shot two times, with one action or two between the two. Basically, it's either multi/steady/multi or multi/chimera/multi or multi/chimera/mend pet/multi. But no multi/steady/instant/multi, misdirection will fade before that. If a shambling horror spawns, make sure you multi-shot after it spawns. You will want to give the first necrotic plague to an add, but not the others, or they die too quickly.

Pet survival: not really an issue as long as you never leave two enraged horrors up. Make sure you have a macro to dispel a horror (however, it will only dispel the nearest horror - check wich one it is).

Your survival: that's an issue. Basically, you want time to regen after a tick of necrotic plague before infest. Keep in mind that infest will remove intervene. And that the shambling horror's shockwave will too, so avoid it (by staying 20-25 yards away from your pet).

For plagues 1, 2, 4 and 5, he will infest after the third tick, so you want to take the damage from the first tick, then chimera shot + intervene. You can mitigate damage with glyphed raptor strike if you can afford the loss of dps.
Plague 3: the difficult one. If you are a dwarf: stoneform on the second one, and for the second spawn of ghouls, feign death before he casts infest and delay it for 1-2 seconds (but not too long, or plague 4 will tick just as he infests), and intervene for the first two ticks of plague 3. If not: make sure you do not delay the infest (either by not feigning death, or doing it after he casts infest), and it should arrive before the second tick. Mitigate the first tick with either raptor strike or deterrence, or both and chimera shot right after. Then intervene after the infest and it should absorb for enough time to get another chimera shot past.
Plague 6: will infest after the second tick. So... very dangerous without stoneform. Best thing is to get him to phase 1.5 before he cast it.
So the last problem will be that: you must chimera as much as possible, feign death + misdirect, and losing about 3 seconds, dispel enrages, multi-shot... And dps like hell. Guess who's going to have to manage his focus? Remeber: two steadies = about 55 focus with the passive regen and passive regen = about 6 focus/sec. So don't use arcane shot unless you're extremely high on focus (about 75+) or are above 50 and will do two steadies after it.
Probably the hardest phase, 1 error = 1 wipe, and focus management is capital for you and your pet to survive while burning down arthas's health.

One last thing: don't use your two rapid fires, or you won't have enough time for it to come off CD for the raging spirit.

Phase 1.5:
You will need a target raging spirit + petattack + charge macro.
He will run to the center. Put you pet on stay inside the platform. A raging spirit will spawn. Misdirect him to your pet and pop all cooldowns: he must die quickly. When the second spirit spawns, quickly finish the first if it's still alive then feign death. Make your pet build aggro on him.
If he becomes invisible, the only way to target him is with a macro. In that cast, better leave the pet on him for a while: if he isn't the nearest spirit, you will never be able to target him if both you and your pet stop targeting him. For the third, leave feign death and use deterrence. Make sure he melees you once, then send him on your pet. Once the ice collapses, multi-shot to get rid of the spheres on your pet, then kill any frost sphere aggroing you. Then quickly bandage and, after the infest, intervene if your health still isn't high enough. A healing potion can also be used.

Phase 2:
As long as two spirits are up, make sure your pet is well healed.
Tanking: you are a tank if you were melee'd a most 1 minute ago (in the video, the val'kyr aggro'd me 1 minutes 4 sec after the last hit). So you will want to be hit once every minute at least. To avoid damege (50K crit + infest = death), use intervene, taunt, then FD after the first hit (or dodge/miss/parry).
Beware: make sure you don't get soul reaper, and remember that after that he gets a haste buff, so don't taunt before he loses it.
If a Val'kyr still picks you up, then:
-if more than one try to pick you up at the same time, they get in an argument and fly away after giving you a good fright.
-if they try to take you one at a time, wait for the last, then wiggle your mouse while facing outwards to turn as soon as they let you go. Then disengage (macro'd with parachute) as soon as you turn. Sometimes works, but betting your life on it is a bad idea.
Mainly, dps as much as you can, taunt once in a while, and your pet should be in no danger.
The defiles are easy to deal with, and deal nearly no damage.
At 41%, take a last hit.

Phase 2.5:
Spirits will spawn faster. Dps the first, send the second one on your pet, kill the first, deterrence on the third and take a hit, then send him and the fourth on your pet. If the ice spheres get near you, feign death.

Phase 3:
At first, kill a spirit asap and use last stand to keep your pet alive.
For the vile spirits, use intervene once they aggro you, and try to take a hit in the last second or so. Finish the other spirits. Then all you have to do is intervene for the vile spirits + hit (you could get a hit every two intervenes, but it's risky) , and get him to 10% before he enrages.
If you are taken inside frostmourne: use aimed shot on the warden, get a hit from a vile spirit (they follow you, but keep aggro on your pet), then immediatly kill the warden before the lich king despawns.Durendilhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08227356725962090483noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3596085325182861596.post-6339659716690035142012-01-23T14:38:00.000-08:002012-01-23T14:38:25.366-08:00Sindragosa solo'd!I probably would have thought her impossible, except for a small thing.
A year ago, I was 3-manning ICC. After multiple tries, we killed her. How?
Phase 3. Palatank dies. Mage gets aggro. Mage dies. So I switch pets and try to finish her off. But she had like 5% hp remaining.
She casts frost tomb. Again. And again. So I killed her. But I never understood why she hadn't frost-tombed me.
So, when I started testing her last week, I decided to find out what makes you a tank.

So, my tries told me that:
-FD didn't save me from frost tombs.
-if I grabbed aggro before she took off (by dismissing my pet), she would frost-tomb me.
-but sometimes she wouldn't
I quickly figured out that she didn't frost-tomb me if she melee'd me beforehand.
Besides, she didn't frost-tomb me the time I was merely at 5% aggro, having FD 5 seconds before.
I luckily got a try where she didn't frost-tomb me in phase 3 for a while. So I made a video and analysed it.

So, basically: I switch pets, using deterrence, and 30 seconds after the FD I get the frost tomb.

That is how I understood that it wasn't aggro + melee that protected me, just melee.
So, if she melees you, you are a tank for 30 seconds.

The strategy is:
In phase 1, try to grab aggro after her blistering cold, take a hit (it doesn't matter if it misses/doge/parry), and FD (if you managed to pull aggro without dismissing your pet. If not, wait for your pet to have more than 7K hp).

In air phase, intervention can protect you from a frost bomb.

In phase 2, switch pets while taking a melee hit. Then switch pets every time FD is off cooldown. An intervene beforehand will reduce damage.Durendilhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08227356725962090483noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3596085325182861596.post-26501165816120089752012-01-21T13:12:00.000-08:002012-01-21T13:12:51.622-08:00Professor Putricide down!I told you ICC was back on the menu!
So after, chain-wiping in phase 3, I realized that it wasn't today that I would pull off 40K dps.
God, I just love ICC! Testing every ability the boss does, wiping, changing strategy... Understanding a boss is so fun! Human: 1 AI: 0.

So, the guide:
Phase 1 and 2: control puddle spawning (puddles grow up to a certain size).
So, you will need a side of the room clear for phase 3. I prefer the yellow side because 2 orange oozes: reset boss, 3 green oozes: death. Wich means you will need to make the green puddles spawn on the green side.
Now, your pet won't pull aggro from the green oozes if he is near the wall. Just FD as soon as the green oozes have cast their spell or they may move in aggro range of your pet.
In phase 2, never ever suffer a malleable goo.

Phase 3: Beware, at the start he may cast a last puddle. I believe there is a maximum number of puddles possible in the room.
Just tank him with your pet until he's at 6 stacks. Switch pets after making sure widow venom is active, and follow the wall (if you go in the middle, the orange oozes will aggro you). Continue until he gets dangerously close to the berserk. Then finish him before your pet gets at 9 stacks (like 100K/2seconds).Durendilhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08227356725962090483noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3596085325182861596.post-38202085825495744492012-01-17T10:54:00.000-08:002012-01-17T10:54:14.912-08:00Deathbringer saurfang down! And so I finally brought death to deathbringer saurfang. This was made possible by the fact that death knights cannot use Cleave.

This fight requires you to keep a good 17.7K dps (23K with buff) during 8 minutes while handling adds, pet healing and kiting.

Macro you will need:

-target DS and taunt, and put pet on passive

-target blood beast and use aimed shot

-target BB and use concussive shot

-cast intervene, pet attack DS

Blood power: He will gain 1 blood power each time you are damaged by one of his spells (even if it is absorbed), and each time a blood beast damages you (or your pet!).

Blood beasts: 2 will spawn every 35 seconds (13 spawns total). The easiest way to kill them is to use aimed shot on one, followed by arcane shot or steady shot (if it isn't dead, no matter: remember there's a big DoT if your aimed shot crits); then deal with the other.

For the first 4:30, maximize dps on DS while keeping your pet alive (he Is a Saurfang after all, and dishes out tons of damage).

After he puts mark on blood on you, do as follow:

-chain-taunt with distracting shot

-use intervene before BB spawn

-after 15 seconds, taunt again

The difficulty will reside in killing the beasts quickly enough while running around in all directions. Quickly finish him off.
Durendilhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08227356725962090483noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3596085325182861596.post-62401620670489245492012-01-09T11:24:00.000-08:002012-01-09T11:25:04.737-08:00Sartharion 25 downHello!
Solo'd Sartharion 25 a few days ago. Not very difficult, just a matter of practice.
Now, I remind people that LK raid locks work like Cataclysm ones, meaning you can get in in 10-man mode, kill the drakes (with a friend for the evil one), then switch to 25-man.

His Berserk is 15 minutes, so maximizing dps is the key.
Positionning: You want a positioning where your turtle won't get hit by the waves, and you won't get hit by his tail (stun: bad).
However, it puts you at risk of taking Pyrobuffets (+1000 damage per attack per stack), with increases damage you take by the small adds, if you go too far to the left.
You need less than 9K on Sartharion to kill him, so the whole fight is about the adds.

How to deal with big red things:
-If they aggro you but not your pet, FD despawns them. Works once in a while.
-If they get hit by the lava waves, Tranqshot them.
-If you kill them all one at a time, GL for surviving the Berserk.
So:
-try to despawn what you can
-If there are 1 or 2 on you kill them
-if there are a few on your pet, don't mend pet or they'll come at you
-if there are 5-6 in all, it's time to FD/misdirect/multishot.

Remember, they run slowly, so kiting them is easy.

At 10% health, Sartharion gets angry. And a whole bunch of angry little adds attack you. So make sure you have no pyrobuffet on, and Rapid fires off CD. Then focus boss with everything you got, run to kite the small adds.Durendilhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08227356725962090483noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3596085325182861596.post-36337165609207102972012-01-01T13:38:00.000-08:002012-01-09T11:03:38.844-08:00Vezax Hard Mode and Loathed 25 down!

Vezax hard mode isn't that hard. It's mainly a matter of of finding the good balance of stamina and dps to kill him without having to change pets too often. In my video I had 2 stamina trinkets and a dps flask.

Strategy is the same as ever when the animus isn't there:
-avoid the black puddles
-avoid the shadow crashes
-Kite him for his "big mode" (blood of Yogg-Saron)
-interrupt one AoE out of two, use a pet CD for the others.

When the animus spawns:
-it will interrupt his big mode, so no need to kite him.
-Misdirect the add on your pet.

Vezax will stop casting his aoe, so use pet CDs as you like, intelligently (meaning, not during the kiting phase). If you attract aggro from the animus, better kite him a bit - anything to reduce pet incoming damage.
DBM won't warn you anymore for the shadow crashes, so open you eyes (Vezax turns toward you and launches a purple bolt: move).

Once the animus is dead, continue normally.
If you kill him before he berserks, you win.

Loatheb 25 is "yay look at me I'm topping the charts!" No strategy, just plain gear/rotation check. He has a 12-minutes berserk, so 28.1K dps is needed.

Unlike me, if you try him you should remember that stamina scrolls exist to be used in fights where your pet lacks survivability.

So: You have +50% crit chance. Since it affects everything, Chimera shot is a dps boost even during careful aim. Use an aimed shot rotation.

For your pet to survive, use a scroll of fortitude II, and use CDs as soften as possible, remembering to throw a heal when the debuff is ending.
Durendilhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08227356725962090483noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3596085325182861596.post-70780664702995556882011-12-31T15:49:00.000-08:002011-12-31T15:49:38.996-08:00How to: Hyjal SummitSo, time to get back to work on these guides.
Hyjal summit is a rather nice instance, open air and all that. Good scenery, lots of unavoidable trash (for once), and mildly challenging bosses, so, all in all, a good raid.

Feign death: If you FD for too long, bosses will do x10 damage. Beware.
Easy strat, just put the boss between you and your pet, and go 99 yards away from your pet. That way, the boss will be at 99+3 to 99+5 yards away from you, and won't cast doom on you. Use hunter's mark to know when you are safe.
Unlike the medium mode, that doesn't require some change in tactics, this mode will really need concentration and flawless execution.

You will need:
-Lots of stamina: buff, flask, and two stamina trinkets
-3 pets: 2 Beetle/turtles, one Gorilla. Make sur they have last stand/intervene

THE FD THINGY: Many people complained about "FD not working". The answer is: If you FD then attack, your aggro won't reset. But if you FD, use misdirection, then attack, your aggro will. A dwarf died many times because of aggro pull to bring you this information :)

Phase 1:
The goal of this phase is to kill Molgeim without your pet dying. So besides the obvious improved mend pet (about that, why isn't it anywhere in mist of pandaria? Totally unfair), and lots of stamina, you will need:

#showtooltip master's call
/target Durendil (player name)
/cast master's call
/petpassive
/targetlastenemy

and

/target durendil (player name)
/cast intervene
/petpassive
/targetlastenemy

Basically, these two macros are needed to get your pet out of the blue runes, and they also get him out of melee range for 2-3 seconds.

Use

/target stormcaller brundir
/cast silencing shot
/targetlastenemy

To get Brundir out of the blue runes. Careful though, he'll try to melee you.

Use pet CDs on manual cast, when he's low on health, to soak a fusion punch.

Dispel Molgeims shield immediatly.

So if you're at full health, and Molgeim is nearly dead, you can prepare for phase 2.

Transition: Put yourself at 40 yards from steelbreaker, kill Molgeim, dismiss pet, summon Gorilla, heal, FD, misdirection, chimera shot, then go in silencing shot range from Brundir.

Phase 2:
Kill Brundir while taking the least damage possible and remembering to heal your pet.

You want your pet to build aggro on steelbreaker for phase 3 while keeping aggro on Brundir and being in melee range of him.

When you interrupt Brundir, he will run to melee his aggro target. Run!

So, Steelbreaker's damage is easely manageable. But he will AoE, and put a debuff on you that makes you take +75% nature damage. In conjunction with Brundir, it really hurts.

So use aspect of the wild, and deal with Brundir:
-Lightning whirl: zomg interrupt it! Really. But silencing shot isn't enough for all of them, so use

/target stormcaller brundir
/petattack
/cast pummel
/targetlastenemy

-Chain Lightning: up to 10K damage... and you need your interrupts. So:
*Feign death as soon as he starts to cast it on you!
*Keep aggro on your pet. He will melee him, so he won't chain-cast chain lightning.

Transition: Put your pet on defensive, and put hunter's mark and serpent sting on Steelbreaker. Then kill Brundir.

Dps Steelbreaker like mad. Once your pet's debuff is at less than 30 seconds, use widow venom (150K less heal). Then, once he's about to die, dismiss pet, summon 3rd one, FD and misdirect/give him hell. You now have one minute at 300% damage to kill him before you die, so pop all cooldowns, don't pull aggro, and don't get out of range (basically, don't do what I did).Durendilhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08227356725962090483noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3596085325182861596.post-26859507618021623922011-11-26T10:02:00.000-08:002011-11-26T10:02:16.140-08:00How to: Naxxramas (3)CONSTRUCT QUARTER
Gear: 3/5
Strategy: 1/5

You will need two tenacity pets, with shell shield on auto-cast and cower on manual cast.
The goal of this fight is to handle pet healing/switching while dpsing enough with a screwed up rotation (12K needed).
Pull Patchwerk by misdirecting him to your pet, then feign death to avoid pulling all the room with him. Keep mend pet up and dps as much as you can.
You can use 4 rapid fires during the fight. I usually use them when my pet uses shell shield, except the 4rth.

Since Patchwerk hits really hard, after a while your pet will use shell shield. Manually use cower when it finishes. Once your pet is near death, switch pets. You can use snake trap (pet on passive), but it's a dps loss; or simply run away (pet on assist).
Once patchwerk is at 7-6%, switch pets, and pop rapid fire/last stand/trinkets to kill him before he kills your pet.

Bug: to make the fight easier, feigning death will remove most gas clouds.
Gear: 5/5
Strategy: 5/5
Second hardest boss in Naxxramas.

Legit Method: Tank Gluth in the back of the room. Unless your pet dies before resetting his health.
Dps Gluth whil maintaining your pet full life and dispelling his enrage. Kite the zombies using a frost trap (run around in circles or do a horseshoe maneuver with disengage at each end). Once your pet is at -100% healing, pop shell shield, then cower. Once he's about to die use last stand.
Make sure the zombies are far from Gluth when he decimates. Kill them all, then switch pets (use of snake trap is recommended to avoid Gluth eating a zombie). Also try to destack yourself.
At the second decimate, either:
-Gluth is low on health: finish it!
-Gluth has too much health: kill zombies, pet switch.

Bug: Probably the greatest exploit in all Naxxramas, transforms Gluth into a high - hp trash.
Tank him near his spawn point (but not too near). Dps him. Once you have 3-4 zombies, dismiss pet and fein death. Wait for Gluth's health to reset. Then, as soon as he spots a zombie, jump. Tadah, Gluth without zombie spawns (nor decimates). You can also destack your pet by taunting Gluth at the right moment.
Gear: 1/5
Strategy: 2/5

Attack one of the two wights, on their platform. Dps it while the other runs at you, and feign death before the magnetic pull. Then put your pet on the second wight. That should avoid you taking damage from the tesla coil (unless it aggro's on your pet, too).
Kill them both at the same time, dismiss pet and jumps. Resummon pet and misdirect Thaddius at him. Then kill him.Durendilhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08227356725962090483noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3596085325182861596.post-5145957678327369282011-11-20T11:13:00.000-08:002011-11-20T11:13:02.254-08:00How to: Naxxramas (2)
MILITARY QUARTER

Features 3 unusual fights.

Razuvious follows a simple rule: no mistakes.

First, get rid of both adds. Mind Control the first, and go to the wall on the other side (on Gothik's path). Once he's dead, wait for Razuvious to catch up. Pop deterrence, mind control the second add, then get the boss away from you. The add will soon die

Now, summon your pet, and misdirect/FD. Pop shell shield immediatly, before he uses his unbalancing strike. Heal your pet, get at max range, and taunt (distracting shot).

Now, you must juggle the boss between you and your pet. He can one-shot you, or two-shot the pet, if he has no CDs.

The aim is to kite him back and forth. But:

-if you are too far, from your pet, he despawns.

-if you are too far from the boss when he goes back to your pet, he will go out of range for taunting

-if he hits you, it's 30k melee and 150K unbalancing strike.

What I would suggest is tanking him for 6-7 seconds when shell shield is up, to avoid unbalancing strike hitting the hunter. And, allow you to get as close to the boss as you can to avoid despawning/outranging.

Naxxramas is entirely soloable by hunter, some bosses have even been killed in 25-man.
It's also the most profitable raid. My best 13/16 (no KT, Razuvious and Maexxna) speed farming (read: bugging whenever possible) clean took me 1 hour and a half for 2200 gold. Beats killing 10 mobs for the three hundred twenty seventh time.
Most bosses have two methods: the legit one and the bugging, farming one. Both will be covered in this guide.

You will want five pets for farming, two turtle/beetles, two foxes, and one pure dps pet.

PLAGUE QUARTER
Trivial. Noth and heigan killable in 25-man too.

Gear: 0/5
Strategy: 1/5

You can use a pure dps pet.
Legit method: dps the boss when he's on the ground, and the adds when he's on the balconny. He will sometimes blink, resetting his aggro.

Bug: you can FD when skeletons aggro you to despawn them.

Gear: 0/5
Strategy: 1/5

Better use a fox.
Never get within 20 yards of him to avoid his plague. Keep your pet alive, and tank him on the platform.
During the floor phase, you can outheal the eruption damage. But during the safety dance, you better dance to be safe.
Gear: 0/5
Strategy: 1/5

Tank and dps. You have a 3-second window to heal your pet every 20 seconds (your survival isn't in danger... and your pets not really). Spore give you a hell of a buff, so kill them while they're near you once in a while (explosive trap works wonders) to speed thinks up.

If you're going for the spore loser achievement, simply deactivate thunderstomp and put your pet on passive before sending him on Loatheb.

ARACHNID QUARTER
Spiders. Why couldn't it have been butterflies?
Gear: 0/5
Strategy: 2/5

Use a turtle.
Legit Method: Best place to tank him is the entrance door, so your pet won't be bumped around. When he bumps you, disengage to avoid damage, if you need to.
Stay at maximum range for his locus swarm, and use pet CD redution. Misdirect the crypt guards and focus them down. Also kill the scarabs when they spawn.

Bug: If you're tanking Anub where I suggested, simply FD when the crypt guards aggro you to despawn them.

Faerlina
Gear: 1/5
Strategy: 1/5

Really use a tanking pet.
Focus Faerlina while avoiding the fire zones. When she frenzies, kill an add. You can trap one add to reduce incoming damage. With sufficient gear, you can survive her enrage.

Maexxna
Strategy 2/5

You will need 2/2 in improved mend pet.
She will launch her first cocoon 20 seconds into the fight, then every 40 seconds: feign death before she does.
Deal with the spiderlings with a multishot or explosive trap.

She will frenzy at 30%. Keep dps cooldowns for this phase.Durendilhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08227356725962090483noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3596085325182861596.post-7457489091663565612011-11-17T14:31:00.000-08:002011-11-19T10:31:57.490-08:00Malygos 25 down

So, Malygos 25 man... I couldn't beat his enrage timer, so I merely survived it.

Phase 1:
Goals: survive, get him to 50% at the last vortex before berserk.

Malygos will attack your pet. Don't stand in front of him because of his breath.
He will launch arcane bolts at you - drums of the wild and prismatic elixir greatly reduce incoming damage, chimera shot is enough to heal yourself.
The goal is to dps him fast and hard.

The fight repeats as follow after:
1-Vortex: summon your pet, dps malygos. You might want to use a misdirection.
2-Once you land, make your pet attack and feign death. Destroy the power spark, and get in it.
3-Blow rapid fire if there are more than 3 minutes before the berserk.
4-Ignore the second power spark unless you can stack it with the other.
5-Feign death as soon as it leaves cooldown to make sure it's available after the next vortex.

With this tactic, I could get him to phase 2 with 370 gear (365 gun).

If you're doing rather good, you might consider to slow dps at 53%, using chimera shot to self-heal. Slowly bring him to 50,49% (so it shows 50% if you're using percentage). Once he launches his last vortex, dps him hard. He should land, enrage, than fly up (he might try a hit or two - deterrence can be safe). He must enrage before the adds spawn.

Phase 2:
Goals: survive the Scions. Survive the bolwfish test.

Dps as much as you can, unless you need to bandage.
Now, avoid getting killed by the scions. For that, do not FD too soon or too late: wait until the nexus lords gain aggro on you to feign death.
Then choose a Nexus lord, put your pet on him, without growl or misdirection, and dps while running, with rapid fire.
You should be able to dps and heal your pet this way.

When the Nexus lords use haste, feign death as soon as it comes off cooldown and finish the Nexus lord quick. Hop on the disk and fly up, possibly on a scion, before the deep breath (50K/second).

Now, you can ignore the nexus lords. They are extremely slow. The scions, however... They can and will aggro you if you get near them. So choose the nearest Scion, kill him. Then the nearest one, and so on. If you notice a scion attacking you, kill him right away. You can bandage while moving on the disk.

Then kill two of the three remaining lords.
Now starts the Bowlfish phase.
For more or less 25 minutes, you have to pretend you're a fish in a bowl, circling endlessly in a closed, blue space. Don't get bored. Don't Afk. Don't kill the last add. Nothing.
Just avoid going too low, Malygos's deep breath still hurts.

Phase 3:
Goals: survive, dps, don't lose your concentration (like I did near the end).
Once Malygos stops being red, kill the last add.
Do not stay within 30 yards of Malygos!

Do it exactly like in 10-man normal: stack 5 HoT, then 1-1-2-3 while avoiding static fields (try staying at maximum range).

When you are low on health, use 1-1-4-3 (would 1-4-3 work?) to heal yourself up. Once you're at 100% health, start attacking again.
Rinse and repeat.

It's a very good idea to practise on Malygos 10-man, especially to understand when a scion will aggro you and when it won't.Durendilhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08227356725962090483noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3596085325182861596.post-10883607522201160412011-11-14T10:43:00.000-08:002011-11-14T10:43:22.802-08:00Marksmanship soloing guide: part 3 - abilities and macrosBasic macro to use once you log in:

/console CameraDistanceMaxFactor 4

Since dps can be an issue and lots of movement required, it is good to macro your shots.

Example:
Instant/standing shots:

#showtooltip chimera shot (or other shot)
/castsequence reset=1 !Aspect of the hawk, null
/cast chimera shot (or other shot)

Steady shot while moving:

#showtooltip Steady Shot
/startattack
/castsequence reset=1 !Aspect of the Fox, null
/cast Steady Shot

For multi-npc fights:
/target guy you want to use that ability on
/cast ability or tell your pet to attack
/targetlasttarget

example:

/target stormcaller brundir
/stopcasting
/cast silencing shot
/targetlasttarget

BEWARE: this will target the nearest enemy with that name. So if you macro it with multi-shot to attack the detonating lashers while soloing Freya, and there are 9 adds on your pet and 1 on you, you will cast multi-shot on the on attacking you (and see a great "target too close").

Pet switching
Evil. But sometimes necessary.
Your pet is going to die! Nooooo!

Step 1: Dismiss pet. Run.
Step 2: summon other/same pet. Send him to attack. Cast misdirection, score a hit or two, Mend pet. Once he has healed to full, Feign death. Re-misdirect, and you should be good.

The Misdirection macro:

#showtooltip misdirection
/cast [@focus,help][@pet,exists] Misdirection
/focus beetle
/focus gorilla
/focus turtle
/focus wolf
/focus fox (or whatever names your pets have)
/targetlastenemy

The /focus part is necessary if you use the pet focus to check his health/buffs/debuffs in fights.

Snake trap: if used for the pet switch, use before dismissing, FD as soon as possible, and do not attract aggro to the pet before he heals to full.
It can also be used for trap/FD/raise pet.
No point of using it if the boss has an AoE

To be familiar with these switches, check Patchwerk/Iron council videos.

Concussive shot: can be useful for kiting, some adds can be dazed.
Scatter shot: gives you the time needed to use freezing trap.
Freezing trap: can be useful
Frost trap: can be useful for kiting
Explosive trap: can be useful for low-health fast-moving adds (maexxna's spiderlings).

Tranquilizing shot: dispels not only enrage effects, but also magic ones. Remember.
Distracting shot: works on some bosses, allowing you to kite them between you and your pet.

Master's Call: Besides the de-root effect, it an be useful to:
-get the pet out of the bad stuff
-get the pet where you want him to be
-get the pet out of melee range of bosses: put yourself at maximum range, master's call, disengage, run, and your pet will get a few precious seconds without taking damage.

Master's call macro:

make sure your pet is in follow

#showtooltip master's call
/target Durendil (name of character)
/cast master's call
/targetlastenemy
/petpassive

The /stopcast macros, because you really don't want some abilities to wait a second or two

/stopcasting

/cast silencing shot

or /cast feign death

or /cast deterrence

or /cast disengage

or /cast tranquilizing shot
Cunning pets are nearly useless as far as soloing is concerned, unlees the boss hits like a depressive kitten useless.

Tenacity pets are the most used pets because of their superior tanking capabilities

Ferocity pets can be useful if, for a reason or another, you don't need extensive healing or you cannot use mend pet because of line of sight/distance issues.

Tenacity pet talents:
Basic tanking spec: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/tool/pet-calculator#Pp01!!ZkahaZgdZg!

Abilities:
-Charge is great because bosses/adds usually run faster than players. It can be replaced by Boar's speed.
-Thunderstomp is mandatory.
-Last stand is a life-saver CD if anything goes wrong or a boss frenzies, or can be used if pet rotations are in order
-Roar of sacrifice actually serves as a damage reduction CD for the hunter
-Taunt is a tricky ability - it doesn't work on all bosses, but it can be very useful: taunt + FD offers good lead on aggro, making you lose less dps. Besides, some bosses despawn when you FD, so taunt is the only solution to pet switching.
-Intervene: I seldom use intervene, so it's better to read about it on http://outdps.com/2011/11/16/hunter-damage-reduction-cooldowns/#more-4803
Ferocity pet talents:
Basic survival spec: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/tool/pet-calculator#zp00!gVggaaZjWd!!

Abilities:
-Dash is far more interesting than charge
-Serpent swiftness and Bloodthirsty maximize self-heal for your pet.
-Lick your wounds is better used manually near 10% health, because if automatic he will use it at 50% health. It can also be used as a way to gain a lot of aggro.
-Heart of the phoenix allows you to survive an error. It can also be used as a second self-heal (though with aggro drop, so better keep it for times of great need).

Best pets:
Sporebat! (sorry, I just had to say it)

Tenacity:
Turtle/Beetle: best reduction cooldowns. They can be used as soon as possible against easy bosses, or in time with burst damage.
Bear: same overall reduction than turtle, if the boss does linear, physical damage.
Gorilla: 30-second cooldown interrupt.

Ferocity:
Fox/Tallstrider: best survivability
Moth: 1-minute cooldown interrupt
People have started asking me about a guide to soloing. As I never play BM, I will only be able to help you for the marksmanship part.

Now, Marksmanship offers the best hunter survival, good pet survival (though BM pets have lesser cooldowns on their abilities) and great versatility thanks to readiness. The long rotation also allows you to use misdirection and mend pet to avoid without loosing too much dps.

All- Around talent build, made to solo a maximum of bosses.
http://us.battle.net/wow/en/tool/talent-calculator#Yc01!Ygg!SekdkebQgd!j!ZYfRklN
This build features all marksmanship talents except 3 (see below), the necessary spirit bond and the +15% stamina.

Other interesting talents:
Marksmanship: Concussive Barrage: used in conjunction with bombardment to kite multiple adds (example: Freya's detonating lashers).
Resistance is futile: extremely low dps gain (bosses hardly move), but still better than bombardment in a no-multiple-adds fight.
Marked for death: nearly worthless

BM: improved mend pet: necessary for some bosses (maexxna, iron council...). However, it forces you to lose 10% stamina.

SV: Pathing if you don't have trouble surviving but have trouble beating the enrage timer.

For those who ask themselves the question, Spirit bond is far more important than hunter vs wild.

Glyphs: Steady shot because it's often used, chimera shot to maximise hunter survival and arcane shot because hardcasting aimed shot is hard when you must use other abilities like tranqshot, feign death, mend pet, misdirection...

Mending and Misdirection are required. Then, it's free choice. I personally ue disengage because I use it often.

The feign death glyph is the only important minor one.

Rotation: standard marksmanship rotation using arcane shot. However, you must also use mend pet and lots of other abilities, while trying to maintain improved steady shot.

Problem: do not use a rotation where mend pet is followed by chimera shot: the cooldown and the HoT will end at the same time, making you lose the benefit of the glyph. If survival isn't an issue, but your pet can't afford a second without mend pet once in a while, you can simply change glyphs and the problem is solved. Or lose a little dps.
All of his damage is elemental in nature: drums of forgotten kings + prismatic elixir works better than fat loot as far as damage control goes.

Now, with a prismatic elixir you shouldn't need to change phases. If you do, remember that his poison form has a very nasty debuff that reduces healing and damage done, it is better to switch back to water phase once all adds are dead.
Gear: 5/5 (you want to one-shot elementals with auto-shot)
Strategy: 5/5 (no room for mistakes)

Phase 1: dps, keep your cooldowns.

Phase 2: Put you pet in the middle of the room on defensive (to avoid getting too far from it).
You do not want to do nothing at any given time. You must kill as many water elementals as yu can.
If a naga spawns, misdirect him to your pet.
Striders are the main wipe reason: when they are on your pet, they fear it until it gets too far from you.
If they reach you, try is over. They are slowable with concussive shot. Use dps CDs on these.
When a tainted elemental spawns, quickly find it and kill it (watch the poison bolt trajectory). If you don't, it will despawn and respawn later. Loot him, and destroy one of the pillars.

Priority:
Tainted elementals = Striders > elementals > naga

Phase 3: kill any remaining adds, avoid poison patches, keep your pet alive (if you switch, remember to use deterrence, she will hit like a truck). The more buffs she has, the harder this phase is.Durendilhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08227356725962090483noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3596085325182861596.post-37533813340885799532011-10-29T03:27:00.000-07:002011-10-29T03:27:06.845-07:00How to: Tempest Keep: The EyeThe Eye is known to be a beautiful instance.
Phase 1: Get on the ledge and dps Al'ar. When he switches platforms, use your pet's dash. Feign death to get rid of the little phoenix, or kill it. If he goes high into the air, jump down.

Phase 2: Once Al'ar is down, go to the middle of the room and wait for its rebirth. Dps the boss while avoiding flame patches. Once he meteors, kill the little phoenixes and resume on the boss.
When she summons her adds, misdirect and feign death. Once all adds are on your pet, kill them with multi-shot. When she reappears, kill the priests and return to the boss.
Gear: 0/5
Strategy: 1/5

There are two ways to kill him:
With sufficient gear, you won't ever need to heal your ferocity pet (fox works best). In that case, simply tank and spank without avoiding the orbs.

If not, run around him in a large circle.
Gear: 2/5
Strategy: 4/5

Phase 1: Use any pet you wish.
Kill Thaladred and Sanguinar in the southern end of the room, and Capernian as near as possible to her spawn point.
Dps Telonicus to 50%, then wait for his remote toy. If it's on your pet, finish him after putting a frost trap on the cosmic infuser's spawn point. If it's on you, finish him when he's the debuff ends.

Dismiss pet and summon a remote toy- free Tenacity pet. Get ready for phase 2.

Phase 2: Feign death to have all weapons attack your pet. Pop dps cooldowns and kill the melee weapons first (but not the shield), then the cosmic infuser (if the trap failed, kill it first). Then, kill the staff, loot it, equip it and use it. Finish the bow and dps the shield while the advisors haven't rezzed.
If your dps is too low to dps the shield, it can be frost trapped through phases 3,4 and 5.

Phase 3: Misdirect Capernian to your pet. Send your pet on Sanguinar. Run around to avoir Telonicus's bombs and Thaladred's melee hits. Stay 30 yars away from Sanguinar to avoid his fears.
When Capernian uses conflagration on your pet, feign death. Finish her, then kill Sanguinar to get rid of the fears. Thaladred comes next.
If you have time, dps Telonicus. Just prior to his death, or to Kael'thas's activation, dismiss your pet and summon a ferocity one. While between one of the two statues and the wall. Quickly finish telonicus if you can.

Phase 4: Misdirect the boss on your pet, interrupt his fireball, then get out of his line of sight.
He will sometimes yell "obey me" or "bow to my will": if you are in line of sight, you will be MC'd. If not, you will get 30 seconds of dps time, and the possibility to heal your pet (note: if done well, you can put your pet between the northern foot of the statue and the wall, and it may put you in a position where you can heal your pet without being in Kael's line of sight).
Stay within 30 yards of your pet. If you are too far and it's disoriented, feign death to get the boss back on your pet.
When a phoenix spawns, kill him then destroy the egg.
Avoid the 120K damage from the flamestrike.

When Kael'thas uses his shock barrier, he will use 3 pyroblasts in a row, and no MC. Dps him, and use a mend pet just after the third before hiding out of his line of sight.

At 50%, he goes in phase 5.
Phase 5: no MC, dps him as much as you want. When you are in the air, avoid at all costs the violet orbs and their tentacles: they reduce your stats.Durendilhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08227356725962090483noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3596085325182861596.post-78927955971937889942011-10-28T01:19:00.000-07:002011-10-28T01:19:40.356-07:00How to: Tier 4 level 70 raidsKarazhan:
Gear: 0/5
Strategy: 2/5

Use a ferocity pet with full dps spec.
The easiest way to kill him is to put him down at 1 hp, then use the Brunnhildar Bow to freeze him. You need 200 frost hits.
At 199 hits (use recount or another dps analyser), drop snake trap, them wait for its CD to end. Kite Viscidus over the trap, freeze him, then pop another snake trap. You should be well over the 5 hits/second mark. However, you need to do a minimum amount of damage: use Kill command, raptor strike, everything. He sould die then.
Twin Emperors
Gear: 0/5 or 5/5
Strategy: 1/5

Legit method:
Most likely, the first hunter solo of this boss will be to kill them through their self-heal. Basically, it means focus Vek'nilash with an aimed shot hardcast rotation, use Widow venom on him (tested, it works), and quickly kill mutated bugs. It requires more than 20K dps.

Farming method:
Misdirect Vek'nilash on your pet with the following macro:

/cast Widow Venom
/stopcasting
/cast Feign Death

Dps him to 1%, then attack Vek'lor with arcane/cobra shots (stay well away from your pet to avoid self-heals).
NOTE: I heard the bug had been fixed, so it probably doesn't work anymore.
I won't be doing Molten Core or Ruins af Ahn'Quiraj guide, they were doable at level 80, so figure at level 85.

So, Blackwing lair is the only level 60 raid whose bosses drop 120 -200 gold each (200+ for the two last), and a no-wipe run can take one hour, making it profitable.
Gear: 0/5
Strategy: 2/5

The main problem is phase 1: you must manage to despawn adds without them respawning later.
Step 1: Quickly kill the two guards near Grethok. Don't kill him! Do not do too much damage on Razorgore, just enough to keep aggro. You can also misdirect him to a pet (in passive/stay stance) to avoid stuns and disorients.

Step 2 : Once the adds have spawned: jump to the very small ledge on the west side on the room, go to the end of it, turn your back and jump-disengage. Get on the platform, and make sure Razorgore has aggro on you (dismiss pet if you had it out). He should heal to full and go in evade mode.
After a while, Grethok will tell everyone to go back to their posts. Jump down before Razorgore resets, kill the guards, and take control of Razorgore with the orb.

Step 3: Use Razorgore to destroy the eggs. Grethok should have aggro on him, and he melees hard (3-5K on the boss). Simply run away from him (as the boss) while destroy eggs is on CD, as to only be hit by the weak arcane missiles.
Whatever you do, it seems that hitting Grethok will reset the add spawn timer, so once Razorscale is Mind Controlled, don't use any of his dps abilities.

If adds spawn, restart at step 2 until they won't spawn again (unless there are 2-3 eggs still alive, in wich case you should have time to destroy them before the boss dies).

Phase 2 is a tank and spank.
Gear: 2/5
Strategy: 2/5

The safest way to do it is to kill a pack or two for the hourglass sand and use drums of forgotten kings to build up resistance. Then, prepot restorative potion (http://www.wowhead.com/item=9030) and pull.
Whatever your spec, you will want to have both cobra and steady shot in your action bars, since 4 of 5 types of magical damage are reduced at set time.
Dispel brood affliction: Bronze with the hourglass sand, and use a restorative potion if you have 3 or 4 others debuffs.
Use his weakness! Spam arcane shot if he's vulnerable to arcane, explosive shot of it's fire, and cobra shot (with rapid fire) if it's nature, Chimaera/steady/Aimed shot if it's frost or shadow. You should dish out massive damage: misdirect, feign death and misdirect as much as you can!

You should be able to kill him before you transform, if not, you will be MCed for five minutes.

If you feel you are about to transform, you can unequip your weapons and hope your pet will be able to finish him.

It's also possible to pull him, fight him until he has the fire(if SV)/arcane/nature debuff then reset the fight, and use a restorative potion to clear the debuffs.

Gear: 1/5
Strategy: 1/5

Phase 1: Multi-shot, disengage, frost trap, kill the adds.

Phase 2: misdirect Nefarian, finish the adds. Then deal with the hunter call (weapon breaks every 30 seconds).
You can unequip your weapon before each call.
Or use the heirloom bow.
Or use Jeeves (rich engineers only). But it will cost you a lot in repairs.
Or dps with your stick! (and your pet).
Or bring a few spare peashooters.

Explosive trap should be enough for the adds that arrive at 20%.
